Best Buy and Tivo are expected to announce that Best Buy will heavily promote TiVo products in its 1,100 stores in the United States. TiVo will develop a version of its set-top box, to be sold in Best Buy stores, that will let the retailer advertise its products and services to TiVo subscribers on their home televisions. Dish Network to launch upper Michigan locals tomorrow!
According to WLUC 6, out of upper Michigan you will be getting your local channels starting with tomorrow's up-link report, if you live in that DMA. According to Stacey Conway, General Manager of Local Programming at DISH, customers will need to call to have the services added to their account.
In the email, she also adds that some customers will need an antenna and/or receiver upgrade, and that DISH agents are prepared to schedule those upgrades. The channels should be available by 7:00 p.m. eastern time on July 8.

Prior to our Crash, Last week we reported that former Sling Media co founder Blake Krikorian Could be heading to DirecTV to replace Chase Carey.
We also reported that DISH Network Corp. (DISH) is in discussions with DIRECTV Group Inc. (DTV), the National Association of Broadcasters and key House lawmakers to overturn a federal court order barring DISH from broadcasting network signals that originate from outside a subscriber's area, according to people involved with the talks.
Speaking of Directv, we also welcomed the launch of BETHD, and we remembered the Entertainment Icons who passed, from Michael Jackson, to Billy May's and everyone in between.

Were Back UP!
I hope you enjoyed your weekend as our Forth of July fireworks consisted of the neighborhood kids taking out the local transformer, which in turn took out our server and the 4 disk raid along with it. Fortunately, my up-link PC is now pulling server duty and were back up. I apologize to those who need to re-register as our servers image was a week old. We welcome you back and I hope to fully have everything restored by this time tomorrow night. Good night all and Ill see you tomorrow.
